Welcome to the forum.
Tailights can often be found on Ebay. Several of us have access to wreckingyards as well. Those plastic backings are getting harder and harder to find. Brittle from old age and heat no matter where the car is from. NOS is the best. I usually see some at the Carlisle Ford Nationals.
Door seals are another problem. No one is making them. You can get window track felts from various suppliers that will work. That may also be the cause of some of your wind noise.

Hello Folks,
jap, i´m a newbie :-)
Hello Jeff.. thank you very much for the link AND all the info you gave me.
So.. i´m 35 years old, living in Munich, Germany.
Recently i bought a 78 Monarch Ghia 302 autotrans (No. 35 from Mahwah) anyone older here? *g* Joke.
Tha car is in really good shape. Some things are to do.. transmission does funny things, Machine is to be checked (carb setting, ignition setting) guzzles bout 20 liters at the moment.
unfortunately i recognized a little rust on the hood.
So, i don´t wanna write so much.. i´m a little short on time and love to surf a little through your posts.
I´m sure we´ll meet almost every day in here :-)
Have a crease-less season
Cheers
Sascha

Since you're in Germany, we have some group members not so far from you. In Denmark - Henrik Jensen has two '77 Granadas, one Ghia coupe and one '77-1/2 Sports Coupe that he brought to Denmark a couple of years ago from Oklahoma. In Poland - Mariusz has a '75 and a '77, he is the founder of the original American Granada group on Yahoo and operates www.americangranada.comIn France - Rik has a couple of Monarchs. There's someone in Sweden too, and I'm probably forgetting others, but you might like to get to know these guys.

Welcome to the forum. Love to hear more about your Versailles. James Kaster is are resident Versailles expert and we have a few other owners out here as well. I owned a '77 for a brief period of time but it was a "restorable"; not a restored.

For a quick cheap rim /mag wheel grab a set of aluminum rims off a 91 ranger... drill or hone out the centre as it won't fit over the monarch/granada front hub .. looks really sharp pics to follow.

Are you looking for the correct buckets..............or just green buckets?
There's a set of factory correct red buckets in a '77 Monarch 4dr at Stephen's Auto Wreckers in Stittsville, ON (near Ottawa) (if the car hasn't been crushed). Saw them myself about a year ago.
BTW - Welcome to the group.

The changeover requires more than the trunk lid & tail lights. You need the tail panel in behind the trunk lid as well. The cars are constructed a little different across the back. The front-end changeover is easier. but you also need the front-end wiring harness for quad headlamps & cornering lights.

Also, the rear quarter panels will require some metal work to make the wrap-around portion of the taillights fit. The Versailles' lights are angled and the G/M lights are vertical.

Hi folks: Just joined today. I have a 79 Granada 2-dr 250-4spd, and a 79 Monarch 2-dr 250-auto. Monarch is from Seattle, WA and Granada from Huntsville, AL....Drove them both home to Buffalo. Someone put my Granda on the registry already as seen on eBay. I'll try to see if I can update it. My Monarch is for sale because I found the Granada I thought I'd never find (4-spd). I need to register that one here as well...hopefully in the next week or so. Thanks.
