Hello,
My name is Erik Hanekamp and I live in The Netherlands, I purchased my 1976 Mercury Monarch Ghia Feb 28, 2013 from a car trader.
Original exported to The Netherlands and was first registered June 4, 1976 at Dutch DMV.
Car is in original condition, has had some bodywork done to the left rear door which shows signs of repainting in a slightly darker color.
Interior is unmolested with 8-track tape & radio still in working condition, original engine and transmission according to the buildsheet which was tucked away underneath the left-side of the rear bench. Manual bucket seats and centre-console, warning lights all functional.
302-2V engine needs an new water pump because heater hose return connector has rusted and collapsed causing coolant loss.
Engine and transmission will be pulled out for further inspection, engine compartment cleaned, fenders, hood & bumper removed, front-end rebuild.
New disc- & drumbrakes, pads & linings, booster, master-cylinder and hoses are installed, new brake- & fuellines will be put in later.
