Removing starter off a 79 Lincoln Versailles

I'm having alot of trouble removing the starter it looks like i have to remove the exhaust I'm not sure exactly what to do can anyone help?
i need bout half an inch to be able to remove it but i cant get it out

Miguel, I changed my Starter on my Granada about a year ago, and I had to remove the
Headers to be able to get the starter out. Time consuming job.
