If a person was to add options that are factory out of another car to the one I have - would take devalue my car ?
I have a 1978 ESS 2dr - loaded with 61000km on it ! There is a couple options missing that I have found in a wreck in the area - I want to put them in my car !

Well, this is a personal and not an expert opinion, but what's an expert anyway?? First of all, the Granadas & Monarchs are not high value collectible cars no matter how much we like them. To the best of my knowledge the highest sale price in the last 5 years has been $6500. So adding options is most unlikely to devalue the car; now there are purists who would only look at true originals, but to my mind that doesn't affect price ,only market prospect. And without being specific to GMV's, certain comfort /convenience options would have no impact whatever on value, example power antenna or power mirrors, lighted & mirrored sun visors.. Other items would have more impact.. bucket seat versus bench. Vinyl roof , hood scoops etc. But essentially, if you don't modify the vehicle to the extent that it's far from factory production units, it would have little effect on value. Given their relatively low market value, I'd concentrated in making my Granada or Monarch a vehicle I thoroughly enjoy. Cheers, Ralph
