cannot find a crank sensor the long 8 inch one the car has 26,000 original miles garage kept. has anyone adapted or intergrated this problem . the sensor is on the right bank of the engine, where the tranny bolts.duraspark iii ignition. i would rather not do away with the whole computer system. any info will be appreciated txs

yes it has been checked and confirmed DOA. was thinking about using a short one and making a tube the same size , lenghten the wires and see what happens.. i dont know if this can be done. ive talk to wells manf, ford motor co. and even the guys at MSD, thought maybe a crank trigger would work aint happening.@#$% and a few other choice words. the design was poor from the start. crank seal leaks, oil gets on the sensor and it quites and as luck would have it this one won't return???????
