for a while now i have been noticing a little bit of white smoke and oil comming from the oil breathing cap on the granada. Shes running on 76,000 miles. My question is what causes it? May people say that perhaps its worn rings or maybe excessive oil build up in the engine. Anyone have any ideas or maybe has had this problem with their granada?

- If the amount of smoke is modest, then the crankcase is not properly ventilated.. First thing to check is your PCV valve, and for what they cost replace it. Even if it passes the jiggle/rattle test, I'd replace it. Also Check to see if the tubing between the PCV valve and the Air cleaner housing has not become disconnected.. Try that and see.. Hope it does the trick. Cheers, Ralph

see, i removed the factory air cleaner due to it having cracks in the actual cleaner it self. im now running an 11 in round performance filter. All the vaccume lines are on with no cracks or vac loss. one thing i tired was installing the factory EGR Spacer and it seemed to take care of the smoking. i really dislike having it on because it robs the 302 of so much power its not even funny bit ill stick mess around with it and give it a try. Thanks
