Hi Henrik- I've looked at the pictures and see you have quite a job ahead of you. Noticed you removed the entire dash cage/frame/shell.. so you could clean the rust off the cowl and firewall. Was your dash cage/frame/shell broken or cracked anywhere.. if so, I happen to have one (never used) I bought several years ago,but which I will not use.. If you want or need it just let me know, For you my friend ,it is free, just have to pay shipping. It's light grey in colour, but can easily be painted to match your interior. If you are not interested, perhaps another GMV reader would be. I'm going to try to add pictures on another post.. Also, I have a slightly unique dash bezel, the piece where the speedometer, gas guage, radio, etc is located. THe majority are wood grain vinyl. The one I have is without the woodgrain vinyl and is flat black in colour. It's not absolutey perfect, but needs very little touch up.Let me know, Cheers, Ralph[img src="[/img] "]

Hi Ralph, Yes I have a long way to go on this project, it will take several years to complete. But I am not in a hurry, I will bring that Ghia back to brand new and beyond. I will Work on the Ghia during summertime, while driving the SC. And update the SC during Wintertime. I will of course update everyone with pic during my build. That dash look very nice, I wonder what the shipping cost would be to 6700 Esbjerg Denmark Or to 77073 Houston Texas. I should have a new dash @ Gary’s place in Forth Worth USA But let me check up on that. I will need a lot off stuff for this build, although I have quite a lot off spares already. It’s my plan To go to the US next year and get what I need for this build. I will make a thread about that later, Maybe some in the group have some spares they don’t need. Thanks for keeping / thinking off a guy from Denmark. Henrik, Denmark www.americangranada.dk

Yes, Henrik, you do. I just pulled it out and looked at it. There is some sun fade on it and evidence of normal wear, but it is presentable.

Hi Ralph, I have tried to send this mail a few times on the other forum, but I can not see it getting through. So I post it here. I took all the steering parts and rear axel for a good clean up (high pressure gun) the suspension bumper brackets are very rusty ( so I am interested in buying the ones you got. I also discovered That one off my upper control arms have a 2 cm crack ( so I am also looking for a set off upper Control arms. The dustshields are also gone, also need a new set off them. The reason for all the rust is, that the Ghia has been on the road in Denmark, summer and winter Since she arrived @ the US embassy in 1977 until I got it in 1999. Here is my email address henrikbaun@esenet.dk Let me know how much you want for the suspension bumper brackets. Thanks, Henrik, Denmark

Hi Henrik-
Sorry to disappoint you, but I do NOT have front suspension bumper brackets, I suggested that maybe Jeff Roblin could help you out with that as well as with used upper control arm.... If not, I would think that the bumper brackets at least could be fabricated by anyone good at working steel.. the rubber bumpers occasionally show up on EBay- in fact there are some on there now. I'm going to look thru my stash of parts, I think I might have a pair of dust shields.
I'll be back at you soon. Cheers, Ralph

I did the same thing to my 80 Corvette. it's been 6 years and now nears completion. Don't get discouraged or frustrated, just walk away for a day. I'm sure you will, as I did, wonder what the hell were they thinking in the manner some items are assembled. Good Luck.
