I spent the past year collecting brochures, media kits and other promotional material on 80's cars and created a website dedicated to these cars. Some are classics already and other years will be entering the classic status soon. It's a work in progress. So far I Ihave about 380 pages and 3,800 pics. Check it out... www.those80scars.com/

James- That is quite a compilation of information - thus far I have had but a mere gander at your material; but it's impressive. Of course, I had to look up those cars I did have during the 1980's- new units only. 1) 1980 Chrysler Newport 4dr pillared hardtop-metallic grey blue.very reliable & comfortable save for wind noise. 2) 1981- Dodge Aries L/E- 2dr-white with red vinyl roof trim.(cute as a bug's ear), but about as predictable.. 3) 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham ( that's a mouthful)- 2dr - light and dark sandstone. so-so car poor paint. 4) 1985= Plymouth Caravelle SE- fwd- 2.6 Mitsu- 4dr - yellow/gold- ( in many respect my best car ever- seat comfort 9+). 5) 1986 Plymouth Reliant- 2dr - dark red- 2.6 Mitsu- 6) 1986 Dodge Ram 50- p/u 2.6 mitsu- all mitsu come to think of it- great little hauler.
Then took a break- no new purchases until 1991.
But since I've acquired a couple of 1980's units (used) - 1) 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis- 302- two tone blue.good classy buggy. 2) 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer- 4.0 - 4X4 - the ultimate in reliability. drove it from coast to coast 4 yrs ago.. didn't even hiccuped. I was surprised that your compilation did not include the Jeep line of vehicle, but I'm sure there's a reason. Anyway, kudos to you James for a fantastic endeavour. Cheers, Ralph

It was hard to draw lines on what to include or exclude in the pages. So far, I included only cars and car-based vehicles (like Rampage), but no trucks. That's why I don't have Jeeps, GMC, etc. That may change down the road. Still so much to do! Seeing your list of 80's car prompted me to recall my ownership of 80's cars (not including my current 4 cars). I think it's only 4 that I actually owned during the 80's. - 1983 Chrysler E-Class
- 1984 Mercury Topaz
- 1985 VW Jetta
- 1988 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo
