I know, I know, there was no such thing! If there had been, it might have been something like this (if EFI had existed in those days!)

Note the pedal covers, gauges on the console, shifter, and steering wheel. It has an AM/FM/CD player.
It's in the shop right now getting rear disc brakes, a Truetrac differential, 3.55 gears, five leaf rear spirngs, new rear shocks, a rear sway bar, and subframe connectors.
Once I get it back, I'll post some pictures of the engine. It has GT40p heads. a stock roller cam from a '92 Mustang, repop hi po exhaust manifolds from an early Mustang, dual exhausts, Jacobs ignition, EFI with an Explorer upper and lower, 65mm throttle body, 70mm mass air meter, and a K&N cold air kit.
It was an automatic (column shift) to start with. First I added the console and converted to a floor shifter, then scored a set of brake and clutch pedals from Ebaymotors and did a T-5 conversion a few years ago.
If any of you know Tony Chan, I bought the front end parts and three row radiator from him when he parted out his "Project Sleeper" a few years ago, so that is still on the "to do" list.
I also have a Mach I hood scoop that will be going on later this summer. I'm going to put in a tubular shock tower brace/Monte Carlo bar setup as well.
My wife bought the car new in 1977. I married into it in 1980 (and, she says, ruined it!) It was the only car we had for many years. I started the "restomod" in about 1997, and it has evolved over time to where it is today.
It is already in the GMV registry - put it in a few years ago.
My vision was to have a street machine that is upgraded with Ford stock or near stock parts to make it nice looking, reliable, and fun to drive. I think I'm almost there!
