Hello, Well I finally found a K Member that was not expensive and not too far away. It is from a 94 Mustang Cobra and I got it off ebay. It came with the lower control arms as well so I am happy about that. I will have to replace the ball joints to be safe but I got it here. Here are the pictures off of ebay. It did not come with the sway bar though. Nick

I'm very interested as to how this project turns out. It's a bigger project than I would tackle but a lot of people will want to know how it works out for you.

Once it's cleaned up................we can pull the drive train and start to install the Cobra K - member. If I get my new welder...........we can add some braces and sub frame connectors.

Hello, Yeah it is going to be a big project, but it is about time I start doing something about this car. I am tired of it sitting and since I got rid of my Thunderbird I miss something that has a good kick when I step on it. My only problem is deciding on what I want to do with it, well that and money . But that should not be too bad. The worst part will be trying to find parts that I can afford. But I think I will start a thread about the entire build in here so that I can keep track of things. On another note, I think it is about time that Mustangs start to become parts for Granada's and not the other way around. Nick

Nick It's actually a fantasy of mine to find an original 1967-69 Mustang w/disc brakes (mint car) take out the drivetrain and put 'er on Ebay as a parts car.......sellling piece by piece since I bought for a parts car for my '76 Monarch...........if only I had the money!!! HAHA Can you imagine the hate mail I'd get?

Hello, I would not hold that against you . I cleaned up the lower control arms and a little bit on the K member. I had a problem with the K Member because there are inserts that seem to be sticking out. I did not notice that it should not be that way at first, so I will have to take care of that. I have some more parts coming so that I can get this stuff ready. But here are some pictures of what I have going. Nick

Hello, Well apparently the problem that I thought I had is not actually a problem at all. I guess it is not designed to be all the way back in the k member because there would be nothing to mount the steering rack too. Guess I was worried about nothing. ;D

Were you able to find a 35MM/36mm sway bar yet?

It was like 1 and 5/16" and nope. Junkyard was tooooo hot the day I went and the car I was working on was in too much water so I gave up. Haven't gone back or checked any where else yet.
