For those not familiar with a forum setup like this, here are a couple of quick tips.
If you want a new subject line to appear, hit "new thread". Then your message will appear as a new subject under the existing discussion area.
Here's an example. To post this message in "New Member Introductions", I hit "new thread", made up a subject line, and then wrote the body of the message.
If you just want to reply to an existing subject, just hit "reply". Then your message will show up UNDER the existing subject and not as a new subject line within that area.
If you want to reply by quoting the previous message as well as adding your own, hit "quote". That puts the previous message in a smaller box and lets you put your own text above or below the quoted text.
Even if you happen to make a mistake, you can change it or delete it entirely. The "edit" function gives you BACK your original message and lets you change or add to it whenever you want. "Delete" does exactly that.
"Preview" shows you what you are about to post, before you post it. If you want to change it, scroll back down to the "message" text area and change whatever you like, then hit "modify post" to send it.
Hope this is helpful for someone!
If you have questions or need help figuring out the functions, please hit "reply" to this and ask away. One of us who knows this software will be happy to help you.

Hi busybee- Not too many people on the forum board this weekend- Thanksgiving and all. Anyway, first welcome to our very active and interesting forum. I'll try to answer your query. First you have to "login"- then select from the Menu- there are 6 categories/areas under general- 5 under model specific and 6 under restorations, etc. Pick the one that most closely pertains to what you want to post, and then "click" on "new thread" at the top for that category, and you're ready to go. Hope this helped. Cheers, Ralph

Please see attachment- if that doesn't work for you, pls feel free to e-mail me your pics and I'll get them on here somehow. Thanks for the interest in our forum ********** To post pictures, the photos MUST already be online. You may not attach photos from your hard drive. If you do not have on-line photo storage, I recommend www.photobucket.com It is free and it automatically creates thumbnails and urls. If you use photobucket, you can copy and paste the url into the message box and your photo will appear. If your photo is stored elsewhere, you will need to use the image tag from the 'add tags' area of your reply. This is the 4th icon to the right on the bottom row. It looks like a landscape picture. By clicking this button, your beginning and ending tag is created. Simple type the web address your photo is located $including the name of photo and file extension$ between the brackets. Here's an example ofone of my granada photos on Photobucket Attachments:

I tried to post pictures today. Unfortunatly, photobucket has recently "improved" their interface and my tired old 'puter can no longer interact with it. Tried tinypic too, same result. I've got some olds pics on my existing photobucket account, but can't add any more Is there any way to simply upload images straight from the hard drive? I was going to post some pics of the body damage and solicit opinions on whether she's fixable or not. Question 2- how do I make a clickable thumbnail as opposed to full sized pics? Much thanks for any help. Here's one of the older pics- -Mike

Mike
See if you can email me your "photobucket" pictures at "ralfann@rogers.com" and I'll try to post them here on the forum for you.
Cheers, Ralph

Ralph- Much thanks for the help! I will be sending the pictures as soon as I'm done with this post. Will put "madmike-granadapics" in the subject box. I guess I'll be needing a new computer one of these days. But I'm thinking the "Big G" (my car) needs a new rear bumper first Thanks again! -Mike

Not sure if this will work- trying to post film strip mad mike sent me- It's pretty bad, Mike; in my opinion Big "G" could be fixed, but cost far more than the car's value in dollars and cents, Ralph- much thanks for getting the pics up and running! As I mentioned in my email I agree with the assesment, the car needs repairs that would cost three times the value when she was done. But my folks bought this car new, lots of memories there.....sentimentality makes us do strange things sometimes. I'm going to make a new post in a different part of the forum and link back to the pic. I guess the "Granada 1975-80" would get the most traffic. I'm hoping someone out there has tackled a similar project and can let me know what I'm in for. If not, maybe someone wants her as a project some folks just like a challenge or so I am told. Thanks again for all your help. Mike
