Hi all. I am interested in Fords from new to old. My interests and pocket book keep me in the fifty's to start of the eightys. I have done autobody most of my workin life. I is sixty. I have various things I am doing and my Monarch is one of them. I hope to be able to do some on it this summer. It is rough around the eadges but that is okay.

Welcome to the forum. I remember when you posted on the Yahoo Board. The Monarch you have there appears to be very highly optioned with the lace aluminimum wheels and the cornering lamps.
It's definitely a car worth doing something with. I also have to say that you do have quite a collection of vintage tin. I remember looking at your online photo albums.

Good Stuff!
I have to pay people to do what you do! - I have zero talent and even fewer patience.
I will post picture posting insructions in the help forum.
That '63 Merc looks like a Custom Cab with the chrome gauges. It think I've only seen one ( a 2 ton) had all the guages including a tach and vacuum gauge on either side of the speedo. Does yours have the additional zippered door panel compartments that replace the metal panels? My uncle has a '66 Mercury short-box. It's a work truck, not restored.

The truck was used by a Lincoln Mercury dealer here in Prince George and I worked at the body shop it was the body shop tow truck in the seventys. I used it quite a bit then. When the dealer went down in 98 I wanted that truck so bad and I paid the price and got it. It was found at the dealer owners cottage and Calhoon found it for me and got it put up for sale for me. I use it all the time here so it is a workin truck. It does have the Zipper door compartment in the door. The paper's for the Homes 400 wrecker attachment are still in it. The truck has the 292 Y Block and is a 4X4.

Hugh- Just catching up on some stuff- Boy... that '76 LTD is some smooth looking cruiser. To my mind, the Fords of this era had some of the nicest style ever and interiors that were appealing... much more than the dried bone grey colour of todays car of any brand. Be kind to that beautiful beast. Ralph

Thanks Ralph. The seventy's cars had some very good build to them and to me are the last of real cars with a good ride. Here is a picture of my 78 T Bird. It has a nice interior and I will be givin it a paint job in the future.

I always liked those T-birds. We have a couple in the yard. My dad bought a '79 Cougar XR-7 which was on the same platform. Always liked that car. I've got a picture around somewhere. I should starting posting some of them.
