hi, can someone tell me what exactly this thing does, it seems out of place half hanging into the drivers side wheel well, my brother says "if you hit a pothole the wheel wont rip your finger off" that was his explanation of it. I just think it helps the power steering pump, dunno
thanks

The boat is coming about, complete tune up and 302 rumble is back. Now Im broke for awhile, looking for a console, any color what do the lights in the console say/do? could someone send me a close up pic of a console? how do the senders tie in to those lights? Im guessing the gas tank sender has to replaced for low fuel sender one, I bet thats one of the lights.
thanks

The light panel on the console varies, either by Brand or by Year. Not sure. I've seen the following 2 combinations: 1. Door Ajar, Headlights On, Trunk Ajar, Low Fuel 2. Door Ajar, Headlights On, Washer Fluid, Low Fuel You can seen consoles in the brochures on my site... Here's one example... www.lincolnversailles.com/Granada/1977%20Granada%2010.htmI've only seen the Versailles with #2 above. I added a mini-console to my Versailles. My Versailles was pre-wired (except for door ajar) and I had to pull a washer cap off a salvage car that had a console. Under the console's bin area (on the bottom) is the electronic module for the low fuel. I didn't have to replace the sending unit. All I did was plug my console into the wiring harness that already existed under the dash, back, above the center floor hump.
