Hello, I am excited and I figured I would share. I bought spindles from a 96 mustang for my Granada. This will be better for my situation because I never liked having to pack bearings. It is also good because I can use Mustang Rotors. But best of all I can now use Dual piston Calipers from the 99-04 Mustangs. So if I ever buy extra pads or anything I can use them on Both my Granada and My 94 Thunderbird. When it all shows up I will post some pictures. I also think that I may hit an issue with the calipers fitting but since I don't drive it, I have nothing but time.
Later, Nick

Awesome!!
I love to see Mustang conversions working in our favour for once!!
Do you anticipate a rear brake upgrade as well?

Hello,
Yes Sir, I do plan on swapping the rear. I have the five lug conversion on the front and rear already but I am just attempting to make it better. I have to do a little bit more research about the rear as I do with many of the things I have planned but I may be looking for an 8.8 with disc brakes from an SN-95 Mustang. I plan on stealing many parts from Mustangs and some Thunderbirds.

The rear brakes can be upgraded to Ranger/Aerostar 10" drums if need be.

Hello,
No more drums for me. I hate working on them.

Well nothing like taking forever to do simple tasks. I just spent some time cleaning up the parts I got last year. I will post some pictures when they are done drying. I wanted to leave the calipers silver but I just cant get all the garbage off of them. I may have to paint them but I may try something else to clean them up. Then hopefully I don't get side tracked with something, no wonder the car isn't any further along.

Nick- Nice clean up on those brake parts-- if you keep going that way, you'll turn out a great job. Don't overlook the flex hoses to the calipers, if they came from a donor car from the 70's ,80's,or 90's, I'd replace them for safety's sake.. It's a commonly overlooked item in a brake rebuild. Cheers, Ralph
BTW- good pics.

Hello, The hoses should have come off a mustang from 99-04 so they should be okay. But I will most likely replace them. Cheap Insurance, I don't need something terrible to happen because I cheaped out. Thanks for the comments.

Hello, I got some more done with the brakes today. I just kinda bolted them together so I could take some pictures. I have some pads on the way and I will be ordering rotors soon as well. Nick

Hello, I started taking the old brakes and everything they were attached to off yesterday and today. I still have more work to go to get everything off but I am on the way. This is what it looked like when I started. I only have one side working so this is a picture of the other side. Then a little bit later. Still have not gotten the lower control arm off. I got both bolts loose and I am fighting with one to actually get the bolt out. Messed with it for a few hours today and not so much luck, but it will will come out. This is the stuff that is off. Well I have one side of the car done up with the new brakes, springs and struts. I am going to be installing the new hard lines soon. I bought a Stainless Steel kit for an 81 Mustang and I am still making the changes to make it all work. But here is a picture of the drivers side. If anyone would like more information, I make updates to my car domain page often enough. www.cardomain.com/ride/2697757Nick
