If one was to create a Frankenstein-mobile, and put a Ford 300-6 into a 75-77 Granada, how might one go about doing this? I have a 77 (or whats left of one), with a 250 and the manual 3 speed w/OD. I know that the 250, 300, and 302 all share the same bolt pattern for the bellhousing. I also know that the 302 and 250 take the same clutch kit. (The disc is 10in OD, 1 1/16in ID, with 10 teeth.) Depending on the year, some F-150's also used this kit. I also wonder about the 300 being too tall. What about the oil pan and motor mounts? My father had an 85 F-150 with the 300 in it, and even abusing it on a daily basis, he still got over seven hundred thousand miles out of it! I impressed a lot of people with that little 250, and the glasspack helped get me noticed! Unfortunately, the 250 has too limited a range of potential. 300's however, are capable of beating big block chevys. 302's don't interest me. My granada was a good car and in the future, I want to buy another. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll look up oil pans and few other pieces in the Hollander and let you know. I don't have an answer on overall height.
