I believe some time back, there was discussion about water entering the passenger compartment with no clear and obvious source of the leak. Well, my Granada now leaks!!!! joy ,oh, joy.. If memory serves me right , Henrik mentioned he had the problem, and that he traced it to the area where the steering shaft goes through the firewall??? Is that so , Henrik? And if it is , how did you fix it? Would like to hear from anyone, with this problem, and with solutions. Leakage seems to be concentrated in the area of the drivers feet. NO... I didn't leave the window open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ralph

Ralph,
The rubber seal on the steering shaft / firewall, was not sealing on the firewall. You need to get a friend to give you a hand, one have to push seal back into place (from inside the car) and someone to get the lip on the rubber seal back onto the firewall ( from engine side) I used soft rubber seal on the lip and on the firewall (engine side) The soft rubber seal is getting hard after sometime. That helps to keep the rubberseal in place. Hope this make sense.

THANKS_ HENRIK- Makes perfect sense... I've already gone with new sealant around the windshield, moldings taken off. but I'm sure it was not leaking from there. I had just put new molded carpet last year, I don't want it to get ruined. I'll need to clean off the floor pan---- surface rust now- used to be perfect/painted. and put new underlay for carpet... Have to find the leak, and STOP it first. Thanks again. Ralph

Cowl leaks are another possibility, Ralph. If you run water in the cowl vent area and it comes inside, you probably have it. It's a really common problem in early Mustangs and the GMV shares that design.
