So summer is about 4 or so months away and I was curious to know, since I'm planning on getting new rims and tires, what's the greatest backspacing for the rear wheels for use without spacers? Most non-custom rims have 4" to 4.5" of backspacing....don't know if they'll fit?

Scroll down this topic to the entry called "tire sizes" for quite a bit of info... monarch76.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=tires&action=display&thread=1174666352So summer is about 4 or so months away and I was curious to know, since I'm planning on getting new rims and tires, what's the greatest backspacing for the rear wheels for use without spacers? I believe that the factory backspacing on the Factory Magnum 500 & Lacy Rims are all 4-1/2. The factory steelies are the only ones I do not have full dimensions.

Thanks Jeff and Gary! I've checked that thread out before but wasn't quite sure. I'm contemplating on getting Centerline wheels. I just adore the Legend Series Autodrag III. I was thinking on getting 15x8" with 3.5" backspacing for the front and 17x9.5" with 4" backspacing. They would wear Firehawk Indy 500 tires in P255/60R15 RWL 27.1" tall and 10.2" wide for the front and respectively P275/60R17 RWL 30" tall and 11" wide for the rear. Would it work? Or should I play it safe and go for 17x8" with 3.5" backspacing?
