Driven only three years then stored until now - '79 ESS coupe. Ebay item 140201765690 - tinyurl.com/37uc4rThis one has the bench seat option - buckets were standard with ESS. It's pretty loaded - cruise, tilt wheel, power windows and locks, AM/FM stereo... 302/automatic. In the above pic, note the ESS-specific dash bezels. No chrome around the edges - they are blacked out. No standard sport steering wheel either, because of the cruise control. As close to a new ESS as you'll probably find without a time machine.

Copied the pic and blew it up for a closer look. It looks like it says - Jim Barrett (something, can't read it), Arizona 21K, stored Arizona car is going to be a zero rust ride for sure. The car's definitely collector quality. Seems like there's a handful of desireable models of GMV that did manage to end up preserved. Not long ago there was a similar-condition black '76 Granada Ghia. A lot of people are cutting way back on their discretionary spending. These cars don't appeal to the Barrett-Jackson crowd but they are catching on among the "rest of us", I think. Trouble is, the Barrett Jackson people still have plenty of disposable cash laying around. Those of us who can't play in that league appreciate a car like this ESS but maybe we're watching our pennies these days.
