When restoring your car, often the original fabrics and vinyls are faded or have been replaced with something non-original. The codes to your original materials are on your door dataplate or buildsheet, but how do you match materials when you go shopping? The best solution is the original Color and Upholstery books that dealers used for customers ordering cars from the factory. This is what they look like: From this book, you can find the style of interior (on the right hand page) and then fabric, vinyl and leather swatches are attached on the left hand page: You can also find your paint color and vinyl roof swatch samples. Larger samples of the paint colors are also included to take to body shops and elsewhere.

Hi Guys. I just had some interior work done.I replaced the headliner,in my 79 versy. The material came from SMS in Oregon.the color was dead on but the material was a little less forgiving than reg.headliner material, but it is bit stronger if that matters any. I really admire the leather buckets in some of the Versailles that I have seen but my cloth is in V/G condition so I guess it will have to remain. I also had the bottom half painted out side, they did a good match up of the Dark Beryl Met. it looks good....Don
