So I finally received my build sheet from Ford and it states that I have a heavy duty suspension. Any ideas as to how this differs from the regular suspensions? Also, my transmission is am automatic XP type? Any thoughts?

I think the heavy-duty suspension has thicker leafs and coils. Gary will know better. All Sport Coupes came standard with HD suspension.
Automatic XP was Ford's Marketing title for the C-4. The only other automatic available in the GMV was the Jatco.

The HD suspension included five-leaf springs in the back, heavier shocks; I don't know the difference re: the front springs, but when Henrik rebuilt the front suspension on his '77 SC, he had a pair of new springs on the shelf for his '77 Ghia and was going to use them. He discovered that the standard suspension Ghia springs were taller, so stayed with his originals. Probably the HD springs have a higher rate so they are shorter to compensate.

I also have another question regarding sway-bar: they are regular 1" diameter tubes right? Or were there any small dia sized sway-bars?
