I received the following note below from my website. Do any of y'all know where it may be documented for the axle weight?
------------------------------- I has build this Jaguar with blower. I'm living in Sweden in the back there is an rear axle from a Versailles from 1977-1979 . To make the car streetlegal I must give a paper to the government about how much weight the axle is made for. Maybe you have in your Car registration the weight of the rear of the car or some other technical documents from ford or somewhere else who helps me to make the car streetlegal. The Versailles is very rare in Sweden.

We could likely find the load rating for 1977-80 Versailles rear springs........
If the springs can handle it, the rear end surely can.

I sent him a pic of my ID plate that has front and rear gross axle weight ratings.. at least that's what I think GAWR stands for after reading the shop manual briefly. I could be really wrong about this. http://www.lincolnversailles.com\Versailles ID Plate.jpg[/img]

That should suffice for his purposes - hopefully is actual weight is less than that ;D
