Since the Granada/Versailles rear-disc 9" setup has been a popular swap for other Fords, here's some info that may be of interest. It's good to know what will swap INTO a Granada as well. Source: Woody's Fairlane Site, www.woodyg.com/fairlane/finfo/fordrears.html (used with permission) Width: all measurements are flange to flange 67-71 Comet, Cougar, Mustang, Fairlane = 59.25 inches 65-66 Mustang = 57.25 inches 67-70 Mustang = 59.25 inches 57-59 Ranchero and station wagon = 57.25 inches 75-80 Versailles/Granada/Monarch = 58.50 inches 1957-64 Ford = 57.25 inches An observation: '75-80 Granadas/Monarchs have a lot of room for tire in the back, some guys are running as large as 295/50/15 on 15x10" Magnums. The only clearance issue is on the INSIDE, and they use spacers to add offset. The '67-71 Mustang/Cougar/Fairlane housing, at 59.25 inches, would probably correct the offset/clearance problem. Thanks to Woody Gummo of Woody's Fairlane Site for making this info available to us. Woody has a LOT of great info on his site and you'll find it great reading as well as a source of helpful information. www.woodyg.com/fairlane/

Gary,
I was going over some older stuff in the forum trying to answer a question I have about offset. I posted a message earlier last week but I dont think it went out.
There is a set of aftermarket Cragars I want to put on my Granada. They are 15 x 7 or 15 x 8 with offsets of 4.125,4.50 and 3.375.
What does this mean when the factory is at 3.50 on 14 x 6? This is where I get lost on such a seemingly simple thing.
Thanks for any help. James from MS

The factory 3.50 on 14x6 means that the centerline of the hub is 3.50" offset to the "outside" of the wheel. The 4" -something Cragars would offset farther to the outside so you'd effectively have a wider stance. So, with that in mind it would not cause any clearance issues front or back. Right? That is a small thing for me to worry with....My brakes went out yesterday. Pedal went straight to the floor. Looked at the cylinder and it has been leaking at the connection to the booster. Guess it did its job for 30 years so I ain't mad. That will be my next project much to my wife's displeasure.

These cars will clear some very big tires, front and back - look at Henrik's SC for an example. You shouldn't have problems, I don't think.
