I'm looking for a crank sensor for a 79 Lincoln Versailles, anyone have any that they are looking to part out?

Hi Brad! Bill Lee may have what you want.Bill79 send him a private message.I tried to buy a new crank sensor last year but no success.There is a way to do without it by using a duraspark 11 ignition system.There is an article on the lincoln forum.net. you will have to search a bit but it explains how to by pass the eec if its legal where you live...Don

I'm looking for a crank sensor for a 79 Lincoln Versailles, anyone have any that they are looking to part out? i'm looking for a crank sensor too. did u find one? my car has 23,000 original miles! any suggestions would be helpful. the sensor is very long and located on the rear right bank of the engine/ trans mount location txs; anybody? my# 304-482-6580 kevin

Had same problem, sensor not available any where but you can bypass the sensor by using a distributor from another ford 302 of the same year as the the Versailles, good luck this works as we spent three months on figuring out the problem and a 2 minute conversation with a local fixed it
