Versailles owners- if you need one or would like a spare- check out E-bay item- 150175658596- these items are as scarce as hen's teeth. I do already have spares, otherwise, I'd be on it. Ralph

Yeap Gary- This is one "rarer than hen's teeth " item. This one is for drivers side, and hand grip only. Generally, it's the arm portion that takes all the strain and breaks off. But, I'm going to bid on it anyway. Thanks Gary- Cheers, Ralph

I saw that you bid on that second black Granada dash panel, too. Better deal than the first one for an identical NOS part. Guess the first seller will be back without the $50 price tag and reserve!

Ralph - Do you get Old Autos Newspaper? There's a '79 Versy being parted out in Peterborough, ON. I could get some info if you wanted some more pieces.

I don't honestly know. I assume that someone bought it for the rear end and the brakes. I haven't called the guy yet. Peterborough is about an 1-1/2hrs for me. I've driven further to see a car.

Hey Jeff- No I don't get Old Autos newspaper. If you follow up on this Peterborough gem, please inquire about interior 2 pc door handles. I'd take a left (2pc)and a right(2pc) if available at a decent price, say $20-25 a set. If so, latch on to them for me. I'm leaving on the week end for a month, but I'll be on line from time to time. I have several spares parts for my GMV's, I'm missing a working clock on Vera, but I think that can be remedied-- Don apparently has a lead. I have spare power window & lock switches, etc. Thanks for the lead/offer. Cheers, Ralph By the way, how's "Da Merc" coming?

Ralph, I talked to the guy in Peterborough tonight. He wants big money for them........$50/per door Story on the car is that it should never been laid up. It's an original '79 with 60K miles. Leather buckets w Console and floor shift. All options except pwr antenna. Alum rims and wire wheel covers, 2 complete interiors, tons of spare parts. He bought it off a guy that was going to restore it that ran out of time or money. The guy who has it now is stripping the entire driveline to put in a '55 Mercury or Monarch. Says he was happy to find a low mileage car to gut!........so that parts did not need reconditioning.

Hey Jeff- Thanks for the effort, but that's too pricey for used- might consider if NOS. His greed will likely result in the door handles still being in the car when its eventually crushed. Appreciate the help Jeff. Cheers, ralph
