Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share some exciting news. It's really only a tidbit. A movie company in NY contacted me so they could use part of my car in an upcoming movie. Actually, it's not the car, but rather a sound bite of the chime when the door is open. I recorded it and sent it to them. They are finishing the sound edits over the next two weeks and the movie is being released in July. Based on the little information they provided me, I believe this is the movie... www.imdb.com/title/tt0481141/ So, if you go to the movies and hear a 70's car door chime, it's my car being immortalized. But, I won't be mentioned in the credits. Maybe they'll send me a free movie pass at least?? I added the sound bite to my website. On the home page, just click on the pic of the Diamond Blue Versailles.

That's really cool! How/why do you think they contacted you? Was it because of your site? Did they want a Versailles specifically?

I'm trying to get more info from them. All he stated was that they wanted the door chime of a car from the late 70's. Don't know why chime was wanted and not buzzer other than it sounds nicer. I still don't know what car they are using. They found me through my website, so I can only presume they were looking for a Lincoln. But, I still don't know why they specifically came to a Versailles site. He did say that the producers were car guys. It's still a mystery, but fun nonetheless. I hope they use the sound bite. He offered to come to my place to do a more professional recording if I lived close to NY. But, I don't.
