Seven years ago, i did some work on the interior, never quite completed, then kind of lost interest in this old girl; but recently I thought it was a shame to let a survivor, with bruises, go without some TLC. Given how this car was maintained during its working life, one could not make it a show piece; best you can hope for is a presentable unit. When I got it, it was in horrible cosmetic shape.. it had been repainted but very poorly. The car was originally medium champagne metallic, above belt line and light champagne below the belt line. Neither of these was painted properly, and I was not too keen on medium champagne (near chesnut color) anyway. So, I decided to paint it cream ,with dark brown half vinyl roof, and trunk trim, and bodyside mouldings. I'm pretty happy with the result; I've yet to re-dye the roof, but I think it looks very decent.. I may now wish to continue with the interior. and give the mechanical a bit of attention as well.
