I have changed my LTD to straight prophane from dual fuel. I am makeing a breather taller to house the emco prophane carb. I am useing a 67 Merc. 428 Breather as it is taller and raising the center of it about an inch and a half. I will also add a dual snorkel. I want to maintain the Ford look.

It runs great on prophane. Very smooth. I have had several vehicles on prophane and have been very satisfied. Fuel here is a buck a liter and prophane is around sixty. At one time it was fifteen cents a liter and sometimes went on sale for a penny. Them days is gonnnnnnnne. This car has been duel fuel for years but tired of it and one had to go. Gas is a pain when duel fuel. Now is tuned for prophane. I have left vehicles for two years and just walk over and hit the key. Soon as you have vacume to open the shut off you going. At high speed I am a little short on CFM so would like to add dual 425 Emco's. Not sure if there is a duel four intake for a 460. If I put the duel spacer underneath it lifts it to high for my clearnace to the hood. Not want to restyle hood. Here is a picture of a dragger and it is a real contender. It is owned by an auto wrecker and it is all built from the yard stuff.
