Cowl leaks on GMV's are fairly common. As far as I know , other than possible rust thru of firewall (unlikely), there are three probable sources. 1) cowl drain blocked- low down on firewall look for rubber tit, use a flexible wire to clean out. 2) Rubber flange/gasket where steering shaft goes thru fire wall. Henrik in Sweden allerted me to this possibility. If seal is not rightly positioned on the fire wall, it may allow water to enter. 3) There is a spot welded seam ,top cowl to firewall that goes right across the width of the car. The factory weld seam seal( like body filler) is cracked/split/desintegrated and allows water in passenger compartment. A small caulking gun, with good waterproof silicone, and 20 minutes or so on your back under the dash should fix it. Let us know what you find. Good luck, Ralph
