There was a guy awhile back that had an injected 5.0 (Mustang) and AOD in his Granada on the Yahoo forum. He sold the car on eBay. Retrofitting the 5.0 HO EFI factory setup is a popular update in early Mustangs, Fairlanes, Falcons, etc. Would work just the same in the Granada. Google the subject, you'll likely find a bunch of information about it. Windsor-Fox was an outfit in CA that was making retrofit harnesses, etc. Any1 put after markets kits on or used a Mustang system ? Just thinking.

Hey guys,
I was browsing thru my latest catalog from Mustangs Unlimited and right in the front they advertise two fuel injection retrofits for the 302 and 351 engine. One is a throttle body and the other is port injection. They come with the engine management system and intake etc needed for setup. Runs about 3567.00 to 4139.00. They are online at mustangsunlimited.com. A bit high for me but would it be less expensive than an engine swap?

James, I think if I were going to do it, I'd find a 5.0 Mustang or '91-93 Thunderbird 5.0 HO parts car and just swap it over. Could put the 5.0 EFI stuff on the 302 too, for that matter.

That is the most likely route if I was going to do that kind of thing. I might be a bit old fashioned for someone that is 37 but I prefer a good old carb. I now EFI is more reliable and has better economy and all that but, I love it when a 4 barrel opens up and you can hear it suck in more air.........MAN that pumps my blood! When the Granada "kicks" down a gear it feels like the car sort of hunkers down on its back legs like a lion about to leap....that is like great sex!

Well, it's really good but I don't know if it's THAT good. When the Granada "kicks" down a gear it feels like the car sort of hunkers down on its back legs like a lion about to leap....that is like great sex! James
